2024 is a crucial year for GCRMN and ICRI as we update:
● The regional "Status of Caribbean Coral Reefs: 1970-2012" report (Jackson et al, 2014)
● The global "Status of Coral Reefs of the World: 2020" report (Souter et al., 2021)
The GCRMN is an operational network of the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI) aiming to provide the best available scientific information on the status and trends of coral reef ecosystems for their conservation and management. The GCRMN collates and presents coral reef data, aggregating from national to regional levels, and then to a global level.
If you are interested in collaborating on these new assessments, you will find attached:
◻ The Guide to data contributors describing the data that are of interest for the GCRMN, how to share your data, how these data are intended to be used, and how your contribution will be acknowledged.
◻ The Data Sharing Agreement to set the conditions of use of your data by the GCRMN. Please note that by default the data shared with the GCRMN, will not be made publicly available.
If you are interested in contributing, please send us your data with the completed Data Sharing Agreement before Sptember 30.
